This resource is a great addition for exploring coping strategies, emotions and feelings with little learners in a fun, creative and engaging way. This craft activity encourages students to create and make their own coping strategies stick puppets. This resource includes 12 color and 12 black and white puppet templates. There are two different versions included. One version includes the word label of each coping strategy together with the clip art image and the other version displays the clip art only. Included is a narrative so students can create their own puppet show.

My students love this resource! I used it initially as a small group lesson and had items listed on the sticks. We acted out the story with props and the puppets. I then placed the puppets and some of the items in a bin by our Quiet Cube. Students can now go to the Quiet Cube when needed and decide how they want to calm down. Great addition to my classroom!

Oh my goodness this was perfect! I thought okay this is quite simply – we just make a few calming strategy puppets but the puppet show narrative that you included was so much extra! I divided the class into groups and each one had to act out the script with one person the narrator and the others using the puppets. So much fun and I loved the fact that each calming strategy was explained with how it was helpful for the character. Incredible! Highly Recommend!
