The following Waiting Program has been developed with positive behaviour support principles, including the use of relational reinforcers (praise and commendation). This program encourages implementation with a gradual waiting time and the use of visual supports. This one page program provides step by step instructions to implement a “waiting” program.

This program has been developed to be used for children under 13 years of age and clearly explains the process of increasing the time a child is able to wait (delayed gratification).

This is a great one page handout for teachers, parents, carers and/or other allied health staff.
