This file folder is a great concrete way for students to explore buddy vs bullying qualities.

Students are encouraged to match and sort the various qualities and reflect on whether they would be qualities a buddy would demonstrate or a quality that a bully would demonstrate.

This SEL lesson is versatile and can be used as a quick reference guide, a sort and match activity lesson, within individual or small group sessions or even as a whole class approach.

Laminate and glue this resource to a file folder for repeated use and longevity.

You will need scissors, glue and a file folder. Alternatively, you can assemble this resource using hook and loop adhesive dots. Simply apply these to the page templates of Buddy and Bully qualities and use the sorting cards to encourage students to differentiate and reflect on the various qualities.

What Our Customers Are Saying

  1. Customer Review –

I used this resource to make a small anchor chart to do a whole-group bully vs. buddy sort in addition to my bully awareness lesson.

  2. Customer Review –

This is a great file folder and helped my students reflect on their own behavior and whether sometimes their behavior was more of a “bully” or a “buddy”. Great visuals, highly engaging and my students are able to keep their own file folder to reflect on when they need.
