This is a great activity to support students to develop their beginning and ending sound knowledge, short vowels and progressing into learning to read by learning the foundational CVC words. This resource includes one set of cards which include the narrative CVC word as well as one set which only includes the visual (without the CVC word).

I have brought a lot of resources from TpT and of everything that I have purchased I think this is one of my favourites because I can use it for so many activities for my classes but also for my own kids at home. It is super easy to use! I have a set laminated and another set that is put into dry erase pockets. I honestly feel that this is a must have for anyone teaching word families. The pictures are colour and fun and the kids love building the words. They are also great for small groups and centers. Absolutely amazing!
